Families who wish to continue their training in the martial arts are able to take their training to the next level of Black Belt Excellence through our Master's Club Program!
Several parents have asked what the benefits of joining the Master's Club Program are and we would like to take the time to share some of those questions with you.
The Master's Club program is designed for individuals who wish to embrace martial arts as a lifelong journey and experience its positive impact on their lifestyle. Mastery begins with understanding oneself and cultivating a leadership mindset.
Webster defines leadership as "a powerful person who controls or influences what other people do." In martial arts, leadership is about inspiring and motivating others to work toward a common goal. A true leader develops the ability to guide others by setting an example and leading the way.
"Leading others on their journey toward black belt excellence is a key aspect of the Master's Club Program."
The most effective way to lead is by example. Students in the Master's Club Program—whether adults or children—serve as role models within our school community. As role models, they are held to higher standards of training, conduct, and expectations both in and outside of class. These elevated standards foster personal growth, enabling students to thrive in their martial arts journey and in life.
You committed to Black Belt Excellence as a member of the Black Belt Club. The Master’s Club Program is just an extended training program of that commitment. The master’s club program is the next step towards making martial arts a way of life. Master’s Club program members commit to being Black Belt leaders by adopting a constant, never-ending improvement mindset!
Continuous training on self-discipline, self-respect, focus, and attitude while strengthening your beliefs and values will make up the person that you are. Now ask yourself, “Would I like to keep seeing this growth in my child’s life or myself? To continue developing these character traits, create these powerful habits a little longer. Do I want to start thinking like a leader and eventually become one? A leader in school, in college, or at work?”
If the answer is “YES,” then becoming a Master’s Club member and starting that training NOW is the way to accomplish that!
The answer is simple: none. Becoming a Master's Club member is about building on your current commitment, not adding to it. Whether you’re training two days a week or five, you can continue with your existing schedule while enjoying the additional benefits and opportunities the Master's Club program provides.
The program offers additional Master's Club classes, conveniently scheduled at the beginning or end of your regular classes (like Black Belt Club classes). These sessions are designed to help students refine their technical skills and leadership mindset. However, these classes are optional and not required. Attending even just one of these sessions can provide significant benefits, enhancing skills and leadership development without adding unnecessary pressure.
The Black Belt Club (BBC) classes focus on introducing students to key skills required to become a Black Belt. These include sparring, weapons training, and self-defense techniques, which provide a foundation for becoming a well-rounded martial artist. Additionally, these classes serve as a motivational tool, offering students more reasons to attend and engage in their training.
The Master’s Club classes, however, take training to the next level. These sessions are designed to refine and polish students' techniques, deepen their understanding of martial arts principles, and teach what it takes to become a leader—both technically and mentally. By fostering leadership skills alongside advanced martial arts training, students grow into not only skilled martial artists but also confident, well-rounded leaders.
For example, in Black Belt club classes, students may focus on basic striking techniques using their hands and feet. In Master’s Club classes, they elevate these skills by exploring the underlying principles behind the methods, leading to a deeper understanding of their application. This enhanced knowledge builds their confidence, enabling them to encourage and mentor other students—a concept we call “training and sharing.”
Master’s Club classes also focus heavily on preparing students for their next major promotion, including the rigorous requirements of Black Belt testing. This advanced curriculum covers various topics such as weapons training, sparring strategies, boxing, self-defense, Brazilian jiu-jitsu, locking, takedowns, mixed martial arts, and other martial arts styles. This comprehensive approach makes the Master’s Club the ultimate technical and leadership training program, empowering students to develop even greater confidence and skills.
Adult students have the unique opportunity to train and rank in two distinct martial arts programs. This allows them to achieve two separate Black Belt levels under one roof at Martial Arts International, maximizing their training experience and saving time—all as an option within the Master’s Club Program.

In the Master’s Club, students—whether adults or children—are encouraged to perform at their best consistently. By elevating their level of training and commitment, members naturally inspire and motivate others around them. Leadership in martial arts is about setting a positive example during training and everyday life.
“When the tide comes in, all boats in the harbor will rise.”
Master’s Club students demonstrate leadership through their actions in class. By performing techniques with precision, focus, and dedication, they become role models for others to follow. Their confidence and commitment encourage peers to strive for excellence. Whether showcasing proper form during a technique, executing advanced combinations, or consistently demonstrating discipline and respect, they lead by example, embodying what it means to be a true martial artist.
Through this process, you or your child will not only excel in the martial arts journey but also grow as a role model who inspires and sets the standard for others to emulate.
No, you don’t have to. However, both kids and adults in the Master’s Club Program will have the opportunity and eligibility to begin training as instructors. This instructorship training allows members to apply what they have learned in the martial arts, further enhance their leadership skills, and inspire others on their journey.
“For the things we must learn before we can do them, we learn by doing them.”
-Aristotle-
No, you don’t have to wait. We’ll work with your family to combine your payments into one affordable monthly fee, so you don’t have to manage two separate payments.
Not at all! Most of our students choose to budget their tuition with monthly payments. While we offer a substantial discount for those who can pay in full, many students prefer the flexibility of monthly payments to make it more manageable.
Besides the additional classes, there will be no testing fees (color belt testing fees and milestone chevron testing for black belt students). Master’s Club members also get 20% off everything purchased from our pro shop. By locking in the current Master’s Club tuition fee, you will never have to worry about registration fees and future tuition increases. If you would like to continue getting the benefits of our program, enroll in the Master’s Club as soon as you become eligible and save more!
